Jaisalmer Havelis & Fort
Jaisalmer Fort is one of the largest forts in the world. It was built in 1156 AD by the Bhati Rajput ruler Rawal Jaisal. This is one of the living fort in which more than 2500 family resides.
It has yellow sand stone walls which is of lion color during the day, fading to honey gold as the sun sets, thereby camouflaging the fort in the yellow desert due to this, it is also known as the "Golden Fort". There is temples and a small

musesum, in fort. You require 2 to 3 hours to visit these places.
Jaisalmer Havelies : There are mainly 3 havelies
1. Nathmal ki Haveli : Its highlights are yellow sandstone elephants 
that stand majestically at its entrance and the intricately carved front door. It seems that the jewelers instead of the stone-carvers did the so-minute carvings of the building. You are not allowed to go in side the building
2. Patwon ki Haveli: It is the most convoluted and outstanding of all the Jaisalmer havelis. It is built by the well-renowned dealers in brocade, gold and silver embroider by Guman Chand Patwa and his five sons. It has got a very god collection of historical items and one must visit this.
3. Salim Singh ki Haveli : It was built about 300 years ago and a part of this is still being used as residence. It is now a part of the national heritage.
