दुनिया के धोखे मुआ, चल कुटुंब की कानि
तब कुल की क्या लाज है, जब ले धरा पसानि
Duniya ke dhokey mua, chal kuthumb ke kani
Tab kul ke kya laz hai, jab le dhara pasani
Literal meaning: Due to trickery of the world, we are busy in supporting our family. What will happen to your family, when you will be lying on the ground (i.e. dead) ?
Explanation: Saint Kabir says that we are always busy in supporting our family. We generally forget our other responsibility and does every thing for ourselves or our family member. When you will not be there, then also family will survive. They will also learn the ways of earning.
But this is not to be taken in the sense that, do not do any thing for your family. it only caution that do just enough for your family and spend your balance time for the benefit of society and mankind in general. Earn some spiritual values, which will also help you, when you are not in this world.
