The Cube Roots through a pattern
You will notice that the cube roots follow the pattern shown in figure. Now take any number and subtract 1,7,19,37 .. one by one till you get '0'. The no of subtractions you have done is the cube root.

Question - Type 9 - Find the cube roots of 64 & 216 by cube pattern
Answer - 9- (A) for 64 Subtract 1,7,19,37.. in a sequence
(1) 64-1=63
(2) 63-7=56
(3) 46-19=37
(4) 37-37=0 -- 4 steps Therefore the cube root is '4'

  (B) for 216 Subtract 1,7,19,37.. in a sequence
(1) 216-1=215
(2) 215-7=208
(3) 208-19=189
(4) 189-37=152
(5) 152-61=91
(6) 91-91=0 -- 6 steps Therefore the cube root is '6'
